The long-standing partnership between Essendon Football Club and Challenge is dedicated to supporting children and families living with childhood cancer. Each year, the club's dedicated Challenge Game provides an opportunity to raise awareness and funds while creating unforgettable experiences for the children and families at the heart of the initiative.

In the lead-up to the match, players and staff visit hospitals, attend Challenge events and spend meaningful time with families, capturing authentic moments of joy, resilience and connection. The documentary-style and social-first content created throughout the campaign not only celebrates the incredible work of Challenge but also shines a light on the broader impact of childhood cancer and the importance of ongoing research.

In 2026, the campaign helped raise more than $80,000 for childhood cancer research, demonstrating the power of storytelling to inspire awareness, community support and meaningful action.
