Trip to Tiwi

Each year, Essendon Football Club's AFL and AFLW players travel to the Tiwi Islands for a cultural immersion experience, strengthening connections with the local community while gaining a deeper understanding of First Nations culture and history.

This documentary-style content followed Isaac Kako, Jayden Nguyen and VFLW player Tayla Hart-Aluni throughout the five-day journey, capturing moments of cultural learning, community engagement and personal reflection. From visiting local schools and participating in cultural activities to watching the Tiwi Bombers take the field, the project aimed to authentically share the significance of the experience with Essendon members and supporters.
